Re-Editing

Hello and welcome to or welcome back to my blog! In todays blog I will be telling you about the process of re-editing for my final task. Two blogs ago I mentioned that my little sister peer reviewed my final task and she gave critiques. Last blog I talked about how we re-filmed the dance scene based off of those critiques. Todays is about the editing ones. My group member Annabel and I re-edited it in class together so that we could both easily incorporate ideas. The first thing I did was fix the choppiness in the beginning. I did that by trying to overlap the sound from each clip. It is a little hard to explain but I cut the audio from one part. Then I deleted the clip from where it came from. Extended the other clip, and added the audio over that part. I think it fixed the choppiness a little and now the scene looks like it runs smoother. Another thing she mentioned was that it needed some background music at the end where "Ava" gets taken because it felt empty. After watc

Re-Filming!

Hello and welcome to or welcome back to my blog! In todays blog I will be telling you about the process of re-filming one of the scenes for the final task. In my peer review blog I shared the feedback that my sister gave me after watching my final task. The only film critique she gave was that the lighting during the dance scene was bad. She said it was too bright and it didn't give the effect of a party. After watching it back I saw what she meant and I texted in the group chat with all of the people who came to help film before. In total there was about 20 people and Annabel and I wrote sent a message that asked if everyone could come back to my house to re-film that scene. At first everyone was on board but then it started to falter. People started to text that they couldn't come and at first I thought it was okay because maybe 5 to 6 people would still be able to make it but that was not the case. Some people ended up cancelling the day of and only two people could come..

Hello and welcome to or welcome back to my blog! In todays blog I will be telling you what my little sister said about my final task. It'll include some of the things she liked, some of the things she didn't like and so on. I think all of the feed back she gave was good. Most of it has do with editing but I think there were one or two filming ones. She's always really helpful when it comes to things like these so I'm excited to share her critiques with you. I'll start off with the things she thought could improve, or didn't like. "The cuts in the beginning are choppy". That is something that I do agree with and will try to fix. I think if I overlay more of the sounds it might be better. She also said that at the end it needs some background music because it was quiet. I already have an idea on how I'll resolve that and I'll go into detail on that in the re-edit blog. The two biggest critiques that she gave in my opinion was that she didn't
