Movie Research: I See You

Image
Hello and welcome to or welcome back to my blog! In todays blog I will be telling you about my research from the movie: I See You. A convention in the beginning of the movie I would include in my final task would be a zoon shot which transitioned to a pan. Another convention I would use is a long shot. Around the first ten minutes of the movie it was a low angle. That is something I would think about adding. A convention I enjoyed watching was a close up shot on a bike tire. Following this was an establishing/aerial shot showing a card parking at a house. In the scene where the father is trapped in the closet the dialogue was very suspenseful. I don't like the excessive use of medium close ups. I didn't really enjoy watching the extreme close ups. In the two shot I didn't like the way they were dressed.

Movie Research: Murder Mystery

Hello and welcome to or welcome back to my blog! In todays blog I am going to be telling you what I learned from researching the movie: Murder Mystery. What conventions of the genre that you choose to base your final task on does this movie have? This movie uses conventions like creating a tense environment before someone gets killed. It also leaves a bunch of clues for the main character to follow before finally solving the murder. Camera angles, movements and shots that I'm noticing are tracking shots, closeups, two shots, and over the shoulder shots. There is a lot of dialogue and diegetic sound. I also see a use of darker lighting. The reveal of the murder weapon was shocking and surprising as well.  What conventions of the genre did the movie have that you liked? I liked the tracking shots and close-ups. I also liked the use of dark lighting because it helps make things suspenseful. I like the diegetic sound because it can be so many things like screams or sirens or banging.

Genre Decision: Mystery

Image
Hello and welcome to or welcome back to my blog! In todays blog I will be telling you which genre my group and I picked. The genre of our opening sequence is going to be mystery. We decided this because we would like one of our characters to go missing and people would try to find them. We really liked the elements of mystery movies, like jump-cuts while editing. It would be cool to experiment with dark colors, and dim lighting as well.  We're super excited to continue to do this project! See you in the next one!!

Our Pitch

Image
Pitch A: A person is going shopping for Christmas but, doesn't realize someone is following them the whole time. Pitch B: Girl has an online boyfriend that she has never seen and he unexpectedly wants to meet up that night. Discuss Pitch A: As a group we thought of this because we wanted to do something that had to do with Christmas, but a downside is that it only has two characters which wouldn't be as fun. Discuss Pitch B: With this one we realized that we wouldn't have to drive to any location. The only downside is that we would have to get everyone in the video in one place at a good time for everyone. Final Decision: Since we don't want it to be too horror we decided to go with Pitch B: Girl has an online boyfriend that she has never seen and he unexpectedly wants to meet up that night. Inspo for the final task

My Group For The Final Task

Image
Hello and welcome to or back to my blog!! Last blog I introduced myself. Told you guys a couple facts about me. Today I will be telling you about the group I am in for the final task! In this project I will be working with Annabel. I know Annabel because she is a friend of one my close friends. We ended up in the same class period and because we only really knew each other we decided to work together for the music video. It was funny because after we finished learning about the project when our teacher sat down we looked right at each other. We knew we would be working together, and now we are working together for the final task. It was so much fun working with Annabel last time and we were both productive. We knew we would be working together for this one. My last group mate is Kester. He is one of Annabel's friends. He was supposed to be in our group for the music video but ended up working with his cousin instead. For the final task his cousin decided to work with someone else

Hello and welcome to or welcome back to my blog!! My name is Jahziah. In todays blog I will be telling you some things about me. I am a sophomore in high school. I don’t dislike school but it’s not my favorite place to be. Something that gets me excited to go to school is remembering that I’ll get to see my friends. It makes going to school worth while. One thing I really enjoy doing is hanging out with my sister. We love to laugh together at a bunch of random things. We watch movies together. Sometimes she watches them without me. She’s my only sister and is a great one. I love having her around. I do YouTube and I enjoy the process of filming and editing my videos. There’s endless possibilities of what you can film. You can choose the edit your video any way you want, incorporating new styles. Although you should stick to a niche because it might overwhelm your audience. The process of all of that is something that I like to do. I watch a lot of movies but the genre of them is all o
