Mall Day!

 Hello and welcome to or welcome back to my blog! In todays blog I will be telling you about what I filmed today at the mall.

I got all of my work done yesterday so today after school asked my friends to meet me at the mall for 3:30PM. This morning before school I packed the all black outfit for my sister. She didn't want to be in my film this year but I convinced her to be the person who records. Surprisingly everyone got to the mall on time so we got started right away. The first thing I did was explain what this scene was in case they forgot. I have everyone a few minutes to look over the script. After a few tries I recorded the beginning dialogue. The next part was to film the montage part of us hanging out. This was easy because I am normally the one who records and documents the things we do. Basically my friends are used to having a camera on them. 

Out of everything I filmed so far in this process, this scene has been my favorite. I love hanging out with my friends and this allowed me to put our energy into a project. While filming I double checked that I got all of the angles that I want and did a few extra for good measure. Filming the running part was super funny. We got a lot of looks from the people at the mall but if I was them I would probably look at a bunch of kids running too. We finished of the night off with food and then everyone went home. When I got home I added the clips I favorited to my editing app so I can edit later.

Re-Editing

 Hello and welcome to or welcome back to my blog! In todays blog I will be telling you about the process of re-editing for my final task. Two blogs ago I mentioned that my little sister peer reviewed my final task and she gave critiques. Last blog I talked about how we re-filmed the dance scene based off of those critiques. Todays is about the editing ones. My group member Annabel and I re-edited it in class together so that we could both easily incorporate ideas. The first thing I did was fix the choppiness in the beginning. I did that by trying to overlap the sound from each clip. It is a little hard to explain but I cut the audio from one part. Then I deleted the clip from where it came from. Extended the other clip, and added the audio over that part. I think it fixed the choppiness a little and now the scene looks like it runs smoother. Production Blog: Videos

 Hello and welcome to or welcome back to my blog!! In the previous blog I told you about how I added my pictures and what I did to cut down the time. In todays blog I am going to be telling you what I have completed since then. When school ended I went home and started to  work on the commercial. I saved the videos into my favorites folder so that they would be easier to find when I got to this point.  I first started with cheer. I selected the video of me cheering and cut it down to the part where I did my solo. After that I added a couple pictures of me cheering on top so it wouldn’t be as boring. After that I added a blank black screen. That is to help me with transitioning into the next topic. I plan to do a voice over on some of the parts so the screen would help with that too. CCR

  CCR My music video is in the genre of R&B love songs. My project uses conventions like fade ins to show an intro into the video. Similar to other music videos in this genre, It has dialogue in the beginning to start off the story and set the tone for the video, and it uses camera movements like tracking shots to follow the character through the story. Through the research, my group member and I took down a bunch of things that all the videos did. We made sure to write down the things that every video did so we could include it in ours. My project doesn’t challenge conventions. This is partly due to the time that we were allowed the video to be. If we had more time it would be cool to make the video more our own. Add a few more things that aren't seen as much in videos of the same genre. My music video mostly follows what other music videos in the same genre do.
