The Script For My Short Film



Short Film 

[Are The Cameras Rolling, When the Camera Stops, Is Someone Watching] 

 

 

Scene 1 – The set of a principal's office 

Three kids are huddled around one kid typing on a computer 

 

Jack 

(Typing) 

Passing the motherboard, hacking into the mainframe, and we’re in. 

 

Amelia 

It’s about time, I don't want to get caught. 

 

Isabella 

We won’t get caught if you stop talking. 

 

*Laughing track* 

 

William 

(Walking in frame) 

Uh guys, she's coming so we should probably leave now. 

 

Jack 

(Pushing up his glasses) 

One sec, I just need to copy it to the external hard drive. 

 

Amelia 

Hurry... 

 

Jack 

Okay done 

 

Director 

CUT!  

(The kids start stretching out a little, makeup and other crew members walk around) 

Good work so far, lets take a lunch break. 

 

 

 

Scene 2 – Picnic Table outside of the set 

The kids are sitting at the table eating their lunches. Amelia is looking off into the distance. 

 

Isabella 

We did some good work today, I can’t wait to see how the episode turns out. 

 

William 

Me too but there's going to be so many fans 

 

Jack 

There goes famous William, always complaining. We get it, you’re famous. 

 

William 

(Throws a piece of food at Jack and laughs) 

You know I don’t mean it like that 

 

Isabella 

(Looking at Amelia) 

Boys... Amelia? 

 

Amelia 

(Breaking away from distraction) 

Do you ever get the feeling we’re still being recorded? 

 

Jack 

Way to dampen the mood... 

 

Amelia 

No, I’m serious. I just feel like we’re constantly being watched but I don’t know by who. 

 

Isabella 

Well supporters like to take pictures and videos. Maybe that is what you’re feeling. 

 

William 

(Teasing) 

You know they love their ship edits of you and Jack 

 

Amelia 

Ew. 

 

Jack 

Even though that wasn’t the best example, Willam has a point. 

 

Amelia 

Yea I guess, it was just a thought. Anyways, let's talk about the big cast party coming up. 

 

 

 

Scene 3 – Bedroom 

Amelia is laying on her bed with headphones on doing her homework and listening to music 

 

Amelia 

*Humming along to the music* 

(Makes a confused face, takes off the headphones and looks around. She briefly makes eye contact with the camera) 

Now you’re just being paranoid. 

(Motions to put her headphones back on) 

 

Mom 

Amelia! Come downstairs, the food is done. 

 

Amelia 

Coming!! 

(Amelia looks around before exiting) 

 

 

 

Scene 4 – TBD 

Amelia, Jack, Isabella, and William are all standing together 

 

Amelia 

Sorry about the other day, I don’t know what I was thinking 

 

William 

(Swinging his arms around Amelia) 

It’s okay Meils. We all got that feeling when it was our first time in the Spotlight 

 

Isabella 

(Rolls her eyes) 

Let's just have fun 

 

Montage of the kids hanging out. There is laughing and shopping, interacting with surroundings. Jack spots someone recording them. The music fades.  

 

Jack 

Guys don’t panic but slowly look to your left 

 

(All four look to their left, the person recording them starts running and the kids run after them.) 

 

 

 

Scene 5 – TV/Living Room 

On a screen you see the kids slowly looking around. There is a zoom out from the screen and then you see a person watching a screen or a family watching TV.

 Hello and welcome to or welcome back to my blog! In todays blog I will be telling you about the process of re-editing for my final task. Two blogs ago I mentioned that my little sister peer reviewed my final task and she gave critiques. Last blog I talked about how we re-filmed the dance scene based off of those critiques. Todays is about the editing ones. My group member Annabel and I re-edited it in class together so that we could both easily incorporate ideas. The first thing I did was fix the choppiness in the beginning. I did that by trying to overlap the sound from each clip. It is a little hard to explain but I cut the audio from one part. Then I deleted the clip from where it came from. Extended the other clip, and added the audio over that part. I think it fixed the choppiness a little and now the scene looks like it runs smoother. Production Blog: Videos

 Hello and welcome to or welcome back to my blog!! In the previous blog I told you about how I added my pictures and what I did to cut down the time. In todays blog I am going to be telling you what I have completed since then. When school ended I went home and started to  work on the commercial. I saved the videos into my favorites folder so that they would be easier to find when I got to this point.  I first started with cheer. I selected the video of me cheering and cut it down to the part where I did my solo. After that I added a couple pictures of me cheering on top so it wouldn’t be as boring. After that I added a blank black screen. That is to help me with transitioning into the next topic. I plan to do a voice over on some of the parts so the screen would help with that too. Next, I repeated the same process, but instead of it being cheer it was my YouTube channel. On the blank screen I added a couple of my YouTube thumbnails. It brought more to the screen and was...

CCR

  CCR My music video is in the genre of R&B love songs. My project uses conventions like fade ins to show an intro into the video. Similar to other music videos in this genre, It has dialogue in the beginning to start off the story and set the tone for the video, and it uses camera movements like tracking shots to follow the character through the story. Through the research, my group member and I took down a bunch of things that all the videos did. We made sure to write down the things that every video did so we could include it in ours. My project doesn’t challenge conventions. This is partly due to the time that we were allowed the video to be. If we had more time it would be cool to make the video more our own. Add a few more things that aren't seen as much in videos of the same genre. My music video mostly follows what other music videos in the same genre do.
