Short Film Research: Foam Drive Renegade; Thriller

Hello and welcome to or welcome back to my blog! In todays blog I will be telling you some Thriller conventions I noticed from this short film.

  • There was a bunch of close up in this one. The largest the frame went was a medium long shot.
  • There was a good amount of sound used that I think went well. At some point there was a ringing sound; the kind you hear in your ear. There was elevator back ground music when at the gas station. There was the music from the radio playing in the car and at some point the background noise was muffled and only the breathing of one of the characters was heard.
  • There were a lot of jump cuts between the different characters and the editing during the action parts were very good as well.
  • I really liked the chaotic energy from this. Even though there isn't a lot of chaos in most thriller movies, it went well here.
  • I didn't really see anything I didn't like.
