The Car Scene!

Hello and welcome to or welcome back to my blog!! In todays blog I will be telling you what it was like to film the car scene. The car scene is the second scene in our final task. It is when the three girls are driving to the party. They are listening to music and dancing. It was cool to see my group members and I's vision keep coming to life.

The beginning process of filming day is about the same. I waited for my two group members to get here and we planned out what was being filmed and how it was going to get done. Since it's a scene in the car it'll be a lot more complicated to film. Especially because there isn't access to equipment that professions use where they can move the car on a cart.

I wanted it to look as realistic as possible so when the camera was on the actor in the passenger seat and the back seat, the car was moving, but when the camera was on the actor "driving" we couldn't move the car because of safety reasons and none of us have our licenses.

Another thing that needed to be worked around was the music issue. The girls are supposed to be dancing to the music that is playing in the car but we don't have the rights to play other peoples music. A solution I found was to go on YouTube and search up "uncopyrighted music" or "non copyrighted music". It gives you free beats that you don't need the rights for or have to pay. The only thing you have to do is give the creator credit if you use it.

Everyone in the group contributed to picking the song so that it was something that everyone liked. After finishing my mom drove everyone back to the house where I waited for everyone to get picked up. After reviewing the footage for the day everyone else left. I was on cleanup duty but luckily it wasn't to much because the scene that was filmed was all done in the car.
