Production blog: Adding Pictures
Hello and welcome to or welcome back to my blog!
As you guys know my name is Jahziah and in todays blog I'm going to be telling you what I've done so far with the production of my commercial. From my previous blog you know that I saved all of the pictures and videos I will be using for this project in my favorites folder. When I opened my editing app, InShot and went to select the pictures I went to the drop down to find the favorites folder. I first picked out the pictures I saved of me and added those. I think it would be easier to work section by section with both the pictures and videos.
After adding the pictures in the app the video in total was 35 seconds. Since the commercial has to be short I went and cut each clip to about two seconds. Some of them I made a bit longer than the others because I really liked those. So it's not such a raw and abrupt cut between clips I looked for the transitions I could use. I didn't want the transitions to be to repetitive so I altered between the fades and the sliding transitions.
Since I wanted to get most of the beginning part done at this point I went into the music part of my editing app and started looking. I thought this part would be easy because I already had music previously in there but it wasn't. It was taking me a while to find a song that would be fit me. Then I had the video of doing a voice over in the beginning instead of just music. So it wouldn't be to silent in the back I just picked a song I have saved as "background music" to go behind it,
Overall I thought that this starting part of my commercial was successful. I was able to add some of my pictures in to get started and it felt good. The next day I finished add the rest of the pictures in my free time. So far it looks good. I'm excited for where this project is going to go. Stay tuned for more blogs and I'll see you in the next one.
