Hey guys welcome to or welcome back to my blog!!

In todays blog I will be telling you about what I learned from researching mystery movies.

Common camera angles in mystery movies are low angles. Some common camera movements are zoom ins and tracking, and common shots in mystery movies are long shots, medium-shots, and close-ups.

Costumes used in mystery films are dark colors, long jackets, hats, suits, dresses, and hoodies. Some colors used for females are red. Lighting that is often used in mystery films are dim lights and shadows. Acting that is seen a lot is problem solvers and confused characters. Common makeup is fake blood, bruises and cuts. Props that are often used are weapons', magnifying glass. Sets include, abandoned houses, forest, dark areas, small towns and basements.

Editing seen a lot in mysteries are jump-cuts and fade ins

Common sound used in mysteries are dialogue and diegetic sound

Some examples of mystery movies are: Missing, They Cloned Tyrone, Insidious and The Red Door.

Some of the elements I like and would use are jump-cuts, diegetic sound, dark colors, and dim lighting.
