Genre Research: Comedy
Hello, and welcome to or welcome back to my blog!!
In todays blog I am going to be telling you about what I learned from researching comedy movies.
Common camera angles used in comedies are Dutch angles. Common movements are tracking and common shots are medium long shot.
Common costumes in comedies are baggy clothes and multiple colors. There is high-key lighting. The acting is comedic and makes the audience laugh. Common makeup is natural and light. The props depend on the story but electronics are commonly used. The set can be in a home, parks, work places, and restaurants.
Common editing techniques include inserts, fad-in, fade-out, and split screen.
Common sound included dialogue and diegetic sound.
Some examples of comedy movies are Elf, Good Burger, Good Boys, and Haunted Mansion
Some of the elements I like and would use in my own film are dialogue, costumes, and lighting
Things I don't like are some of the editing techniques.
