Production Blog: Finishing Touches

Hello and welcome to or back to my blog!

I hope you had a good week so far. Mines has been hectic because it’s homecoming spirit week but I still wanted to make time for my music video.

In my last blog I talked about what I did with the music. Cutting the clips to match beats and making sure the video fits in with the same time as the song. Including making a few small sacrifices. In todays blog I will be telling you what I did in finishing up my portion of the music video.

First I watched the video a couple times to get familiar with it again. While doing this I took mental notes on how I want the transitions to look. When researching, Annabel and I noticed in some of the music videos, the name of the song would come up on the screen with the artist. I made sure to mention it to Annabel in school so we wouldn’t forget to put that in ours as well.

While making my commercial I explored some new transitions that I never tried before. I decided to put that new knowledge to use in this project as well. Majority of my part there weren’t any transitions. The idea of it was to make it seem like she was hitting a lot of different activities by herself in the park. I put a fade out transition at the end so it indicates the end of the story.

After watching it a couple more times to make sure I liked it I waited for Annabel to send me her part of the video. After putting both parts together I was so excited with the end results. I sent the video to Annabel and our two actors and they loved it too. The entire project was so much fun. Definitely look at the next blog for the music video. You won’t be disappointed.
