Production Blog: Voice over and Text

 Hello and welcome to or welcome back to my blog!!

So today I picked up from where I left off last time. Which was adding my videos and cutting them down to the spot I wanted them. As well as adding some pictures on top of the videos as well. In this blog I will be telling you about what I did since that including voice over a text. 

When I first opened back up my editing app I re-watched what I had so far and did a little tweaking. I then pulled out my note book and started to write what I wanted to say for my voice over. I didn’t want to voice over the whole thing so I timed how long each part I wanted a voice over would be. 

I definitely knew I wanted one in the beginning or all of the pictures wouldn’t make sense. To summarize I just wrote what my name was and what the commercial was about. I didn’t want to blatantly say it’s a commercial because I didn’t want to it be to un-natural. After I did that for every part I started to look for places to record. 

I decided to do it in my room because it was loud in the front of the house. I didn’t want there to be any background noise that could interfere with the quality of the voice over. I don’t have a microphone but if I did it would be so cool because then the sound would sound so much better. It would be clearer and you probably wouldn’t be able to hear anything in the background. 

Once I finish the voice over the first I listened to it again and re did that parts I didn’t like. After that I titled the videos based on what was happening. On the black screens I put words that would preview what is going to be seen next. Then I watched over it again and decided I was done for the day. That’s it for todays blog.  Hello and welcome to or welcome back to my blog! In todays blog I will be telling you about the process of re-editing for my final task. Two blogs ago I mentioned that my little sister peer reviewed my final task and she gave critiques. Last blog I talked about how we re-filmed the dance scene based off of those critiques. Todays is about the editing ones. My group member Annabel and I re-edited it in class together so that we could both easily incorporate ideas. The first thing I did was fix the choppiness in the beginning. I did that by trying to overlap the sound from each clip. It is a little hard to explain but I cut the audio from one part. Then I deleted the clip from where it came from. Extended the other clip, and added the audio over that part. I think it fixed the choppiness a little and now the scene looks like it runs smoother. Production Blog: Videos

 Hello and welcome to or welcome back to my blog!! In the previous blog I told you about how I added my pictures and what I did to cut down the time. In todays blog I am going to be telling you what I have completed since then. When school ended I went home and started to  work on the commercial. I saved the videos into my favorites folder so that they would be easier to find when I got to this point.  I first started with cheer. I selected the video of me cheering and cut it down to the part where I did my solo. After that I added a couple pictures of me cheering on top so it wouldn’t be as boring. After that I added a blank black screen. That is to help me with transitioning into the next topic. I plan to do a voice over on some of the parts so the screen would help with that too.
