The Second Day Of Editing
Hello and welcome to or welcome back to my blog! In todays blog I will be telling you what I did in class with my group members to edit scene two of my final task.
If you read the last blog you would know that my group members and I are editing our final task in class at school. Last class, scene one was edited. Scene two was the bedroom scene. There weren't that any problems that came up while editing scene one so I don't expect to many problems with scene two.
The jobs we established last class was I line the clips in the correct order of the characters talking. Annabel lines the audio up with the video since it was recorded on a separate phone, and Kester reviews everything to make sure it's smooth. Scene two is the scene where they are in the car singing and dancing to the music. Remember how I said how I didn't expect any problems to for scene two.. well I was in for a treat.
It started off smooth because all I had to do was sort through the videos and find the three good ones. It's three because there are three different shots of the scene. One on each character. For each shot the scene was filmed entirely so it is my job to cut it appropriately. This is where things started to get complicated. Since they are singing along to a song and looking at each other, the cuts of the clips needed to feel and look natural. When an actor looks over that's when I cut to the next character. I also did it at the natural pauses. It did take a little while because things needed to be cut at the right point but eventually I got it.
Next was to send it to Annabel to match the audio. Since it's a song not just talking it might be a little complicated but I know she can do it. That is it for todays blog!! Thank you for reading and stay tuned for the next one.
