Production Blog: Starting The Music Video At The House

Hey guys and welcome to or back to my blog!

So today I am going to be telling you guys about what I’ve done with the beginning of filming our music video.

So I got to Annabel’s house a little after three. Our starting time was three but I got there a little late. When I got there our female actor Jaelis was already there but we decided to wait on our male actor Aurum to get there before we started. Even though we started a little late it didn’t negatively affect how much time we took to shoot things.

It was my first time at Annabel’s house so I was a little nervous but I warmed up after a couple minutes. After I put my stuff down Annabel and I sat at the dinning room table and spread out our story boards. As well as the angles that we wanted to make sure we’re in the video. After making our plan for the day we started.

We did a couple practice rounds first of what they were going to say in the beginning before we shot the actual scene. We had to play around with the lighting over Annabel’s table so everything wouldn’t look to dark. We also opened the blinds so that natural light could come in. Before starting to film we had to make sure that the phone was placed how we wanted it to be. It took a couple tries to get the ring tone right but after that I recorded the beginning scene with lines and we kept moving.

The last house scene for that moment was the two characters arguing. That took a lot of takes because we kept laughing but we got it in the end. The hight difference between the two did affect some of our angles but nothing too drastic. This part was a little easier because nothing would be heard. The music would be over the video. They just needed to appear like they were arguing which turned out nice.

That was the last thing we needed to do in the house for that moment. After that the next step was the outside and park scenes which I’ll will talk about in my next blog.

Hope you enjoyed!!
