Production Blog: Music
Hello and welcome to or welcome back to my blog!!
In my last blog I don’t you about my rough cut. As well as some additional things I did that day. Today I continued editing my part of the video. That is what’s todays blog is going to be about.
Today I decided to tackle adding the music and adjusting the length of the clips based off of that. Annabel and I both listened to the song a decided on where we wanted to make the cuts. The music video could only be at most one minute and fifteen seconds so it was a little hard to decide. Since we did plan for the beginning of the music video to have some talking the duration on the song had to be less. The cut between the songs isn’t very seamless but you probably can’t hear it if you aren’t listening for it.
After taking my half I put it over the clips and they were longer than the song. It made me sad because I hoped that I wouldn’t have to make any sacrifices on what to keep in. Instead of just taking an entire scene out I made the scenes that we already in shorter. Cutting out things that won’t add or take away from the story. An example is the basketball scene. The entire clip was her running up to the hoop with a fake basketball and hanging on it. After the cuts it ended up being just her running up and then making the fake basket. The time limit on this made the it harder but I was able to do it.
That’s all I did today! Thank you for reading this blog. Tune in to the next one!
